We recommend that our guests stay in TRANI, a beautiful medieval port town just 15 minutes away by car from Villa Gioia and approximately 1hr by car or train to Bari airport.
There are many airbnbs, boutique b&bs and hotels in the town to choose from and we recommend reserving somewhere ASAP.
CORATO is also a lovely town very close to Villa Gioia if you want to make your own way to the wedding.
transportation
BARI is the closest airport - approximately 40 mins by car to Villa Gioia.
BRINDISI & NAPOLI are other airport options if you are extending your trip and want to see some other parts of Southern Italy - Approx 2- 4hrs by car or train. Trains are good in Italy - use the Trenitalia website for planning and pre-buying tickets.
On the day of the ceremony we will provide a party bus 🚌 from TRANI to Villa Gioia and back again at intervals TBD during the reception.
For the day of the BBQ we will provide taxi numbers for guests to pre-book
(sharing recommended!)
For the best experience or if you are planning to stay in Puglia longer we recommend hiring a car to get around. There are no UBERS in Puglia, and taxis must be pre-booked in Trani.
wedding gifts
Some people have kindly asked us about wedding gifts 🙏. We can't accept boxed gifts in Italy for transport reasons, so instead we have set up 3 cash funds - Home, Honeymoon and Music.
